VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- Nova Uranium (TSX VENTURE:NUC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Bryan Slusarchuk to the Board of Directors.
Mr. Slusarchuk has significant experience financing companies involved in mineral exploration and development. He was formerly a Senior Investment Advisor with Canaccord Capital Corporation, a premier Canadian investment dealer and prior to that was a Project Development Manager for a Canadian-based resource company. Mr. Slusarchuk has a well-established network of North American and European contacts within the finance community. He is currently a Director of Kermode Resources Ltd.
Mr. Slusarchuk states, "I was attracted to Nova Uranium because the company is serious about exploration. They acquired the Mont Laurier uranium property and subsequently undertook a large and ambitious exploration program. They have now acquired a very large land package in the Otish Basin Uranium Camp and are formulating an exploration plan for that property. The company, in my mind, is well positioned with these land packages in this period of strong uranium prices."
Nova Uranium is also pleased to announce the appointment of Shoni Bernard as Corporate Secretary. Ms. Bernard obtained her law degree from the University of Ottawa in 1982 and has practiced corporate law since 1983. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the position as Corporate Secretary of Nova Uranium.
Nova Uranium has accepted Letters of Resignation from Joe Ovsenek, Director and from Duane Nelson, Corporate Secretary. The Board would like to thank both Mr. Ovsenek and Mr. Nelson for their contributions to Nova Uranium since the formation of the company.
